Dr. Cliona Waterhouse

General Practitioner / Specialist in Bone Health and Menopause

Dr. Cliona Waterhouse graduated with honours from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2006. She became a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) in 2008, and completed her specialist training through the Dublin Mid Leinster UCD GP Training Scheme, gaining membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP) in 2016.

Dr. Waterhouse has a particular interest in women’s health, especially during the post-reproductive years. Her clinical focus includes menopause care and bone health. She has been a Certified Clinical Densitometrist (CCD) with the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) since 2016 and keeps her knowledge current through regular attendance at osteoporosis conferences and ongoing professional development.

Dr. Frances Sheehan

General Practitioner / Specialist in Osteoporosis Prevention

Dr. Frances Sheehan graduated with an honours degree from University College Dublin (UCD). Following completion of GP training, she worked in general practice before developing a strong interest in preventive medicine, earning a Diploma in Prevention in 2001.

Her focus on osteoporosis prevention began that same year through her involvement in bone density scan reporting. In 2012, she became a Certified Clinical Densitometrist (CCD) with the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD).

Dr. Sheehan remains committed to staying at the forefront of osteoporosis care through regular attendance at ISCD, Royal Osteoporosis Society, and other specialist conferences. She brings over two decades of experience and a proactive, evidence-based approach to bone health and preventive care.

Linda Taylor

RGN, CBDT (ISCD), Clinical Nurse Manager 2, DXA Nurse Specialist

Linda Taylor is a registered general nurse, trained at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. She is a CBDT (Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist) through the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD), having completed their accredited training program.

Linda maintains a strong commitment to professional development, regularly attending conferences and meetings related to bone health and densitometry. She is an active member of the ISCD community and currently serves on the UK/Ireland panel, where she contributes her clinical expertise to the advancement of best practices in densitometry.
